About these terms
These terms explain how you may use YIAN.UK and what happens when you ask us to assess or restore a Pokémon trading card. YIAN is the trading name of APHRODITE FASHION LIMITED (company number 07899100), a company registered in England and Wales. Its registered office, which is also our workshop and our address for customer correspondence, is 5 Audley Rise, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1XU, United Kingdom.
By using the site, you agree to follow the terms that apply to the feature you use. A card restoration service is not booked merely by sending a quote request; we confirm the scope and price with you first, and the agreement starts when you pay for an accepted quote.
Services and online tools
YIAN provides Pokémon card care and restoration services, card catalogue search, and account tools for tracking a personal collection and viewing market-reference estimates. The site describes the service options in the pricing section and explains how to request a quote on the quote page.
Catalogue details, images and price references are informational and may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. Collection values are estimates based on identified market observations; they are not guaranteed sale prices, offers to buy, or financial advice.
Restoration submissions
A quote request is free and is an enquiry, not an order. We review your photos and tell you whether we can help and the service price before you decide. You can send a quote without an account; we email you a link to follow it. Do not post a card until you have accepted and paid for the quote.
When your cards arrive we photograph and assess them in hand. No restoration work starts until that assessment is done; if it changes the agreed work or price, we ask you before doing anything (see Prices).
Please give us accurate card details and follow the packing and shipping instructions shown on your parcel page. If the card or the work needed differs materially from what was quoted, we contact you before doing additional work.
Optional colour touch-ups
Our standard work is non-invasive: cleaning and minor wear, with nothing added to the card. Colour touch-up is an optional extra that we only do when you choose it, when you send your quote or by agreeing it with us in writing later. It is included in the service price.
- Back Colour Touch-Up: Available for all Pokémon cards, including Chinese, English and Japanese cards. White spots up to 1mm only.
- Front Colour Touch-Up: Only available for vintage Pokémon cards with solid yellow borders. White spots up to 1mm only.
A touch-up adds ink to the card. You choose it at your own risk: we take care to match the colour, but we cannot guarantee the result will be invisible, and it may not be reversible. We may decline a touch-up if a spot is outside these limits or the card isn't suitable.
Prices, payment and timings
Prices are in pounds sterling. Card Restoration is £30 per card unless your quote says otherwise; Kids Free requests that we accept have no service fee. You pay securely online through our payment provider, Stripe, when you accept a quote, or through another platform we agree with you; a gift voucher can cover the service price. Service prices do not include postage.
Return delivery is chosen and paid either when you pay for the service or once your cards are ready to come back, when we weigh the parcel and offer the options.
If the in-hand assessment changes the agreed work or price, we ask before any work. You may approve the plan, paying or being refunded any difference, or decline it, in which case we refund the service price less a £12 assessment fee per card and return the card unchanged.
Turnaround depends on the card and the work. We confirm the expected timing with your in-hand assessment, and every step appears on your quote page. If a delay materially affects the agreed schedule, we tell you.
Shipping and declared value
You arrange and pay for sending your cards to us, using a tracked service, and you are responsible for insuring that delivery for the cards' value. Our workshop address is shown on your parcel page once you have paid, with packing guidance. Add your tracking number on your parcel page and keep your proof of postage.
We return cards with the Royal Mail service you choose. Royal Mail Tracked 24 and 48 include compensation up to £75; Special Delivery Guaranteed is insured up to £750. For more valuable cards, choose the service and cover that suit them, or ask us before you pay. Contact us promptly if a parcel is delayed, damaged or appears lost.
Cancellations and refunds
Before you pay, you can withdraw or delete a quote at any time; nothing is owed.
After you pay, if you are a consumer you may cancel within 14 days. How much we refund depends on how far the service has gone:
- Before your cards reach us: a full refund, including any return postage you paid.
- After we have assessed your cards in hand (which you ask us to do by sending them): the service price less the £12 assessment fee per card. We return the cards unchanged, using the return postage paid.
- After you approve the plan and work starts: you have asked us to begin, so we refund only for work not yet done. Once the work is complete, the service has been provided and the cancellation right ends.
To cancel, email [email protected] or send us a message from your account, with your quote or parcel reference. We refund to your original payment method within 14 days of agreeing the refund.
If work wasn't carried out with reasonable care and skill, tell us: you are entitled to have it put right or, where that isn't possible, a price reduction. Nothing in these terms removes your rights under consumer law.
Grading and valuation information
Cleaning, restoration and colour touch-ups can be treated as alteration by grading companies. A grading company decides how it will assess a card; YIAN does not promise a grade, a grade increase, or acceptance for grading. Work on a card should be disclosed if you later sell it.
Price and population references are supplied for comparison and may not represent the condition, language, edition or sale price of your individual card. Check the source and observation date shown with an estimate before relying on it.
Photos and filming
We photograph and sometimes film your cards when they arrive, during the work and before they go back, as a record for you and for us. These records appear on your quote page and in your Before and After reports.
If you tick the TikTok option when you send your quote, you agree that we may film the work on your card and share the video on our TikTok and other social channels. We show the card and the work, never your name, address or other details. You can withdraw this at any time by messaging us; we will not post new videos of your card, and will remove published ones on request where we can.
Accounts and acceptable use
You can sign in with email and password, with Google, or with a one-time sign-in link we email you. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. Quotes you sent without an account join your account when you sign in with the same email.
To help with a question or an order, our staff can open your account as you see it. We only do this to support you, and each access is recorded. You can talk to us from your account's Messages, by email or on WhatsApp.
You may use account features only for your own collection and lawful purposes. Do not probe, disrupt or attempt to access another person's account or private data. See the Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
Content and intellectual property
YIAN and its licensors retain rights in the website's design, text, software and original materials. Card names, trademarks and card artwork belong to their respective owners; their appearance in a catalogue is for identification and does not imply endorsement.
You retain rights in information you submit about your cards. You allow YIAN to use that information as needed to assess and perform the service you request, manage your account, and provide the related tools described in the Privacy Policy.
Responsibility and your legal rights
We take reasonable care of your cards and of the work you approve. We cannot guarantee that cleaning, restoration or a touch-up will improve appearance, preserve a particular grade, or change a third-party valuation.
Cards in our care are not insured by YIAN. If we are responsible for loss of or damage to a card, our liability is limited to the service price you paid for that card. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any of your rights as a consumer that cannot be limited or excluded.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms when our services or legal obligations change; the date at the top shows when they took effect. Changes to an accepted restoration quote are agreed with you rather than silently applied.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
For questions about a submission or these terms, email [email protected], write to us at the address above, or open our contact options.
